Northwest growers committed to emissions reductions

The primary goal of the Carbon Reduction Challenge (CRC) certification is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the wine-making process. Participants in the CRC certification will reduce carbon emissions through cost-saving measures – reduction in energy use and inputs – while operating more efficiently and not affecting the outstanding quality of Pacific Northwest wines. Additionally, CRC members will improve business efficiencies by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Members, who have taken the steps to reduce their own emissions, will lead the Northwest wine industry into a greener economy while producing award-winning and internationally acclaimed wines.
