LIVE is more than guidelines and rules, it is a way of thinking. To be sustainable means applying sustainable thinking to the vineyard, employees and customers as well. If what you are doing is not sustainable for all three legs of this stool then it will not endure. I love to mention during sales trips that our vineyard is also Salmon-Safe! The exception to this is our Pinot Noir which is just delicious with salmon!

LIVE: Low Input Viticulture & Enology, Inc.

LIVE is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides education and independent third-party certification of vineyards and wineries using international standards of sustainable viticulture and enology practices in wine-grape and wine production. We have been certifying growers in Oregon since 1999, Washington since 2006, and Idaho since 2012.

We are proudly partnered with Salmon-Safe to address watershed impacts from not only the vineyards and wineries of our members, but also the other areas on their farms.

We actively work with university extension services to improve our standards, reach out to growers, and incorporate the latest research into our technical discussions.

We gladly invite you to learn more about our program by browsing our website, or contacting us.
